1988 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date

We are pleased to present this 1988 Oyster Perpetual Date 34mm model ref. 1500.

The 34mm model from 1988 is the Oyster Perpetual Date. It shares many characteristics with the Datejust including a waterproof Oyster case a self-winding automatic movement and a date display with the iconic Cyclops magnification at 3 o’clock.

The main difference from the Datejust is its slightly smaller case diameter. This watch was discovered as a man’s watch at the time but its versatile size is now more popular as a unisex option.

The watch was serviced by a Rolex-specified retailer in 2024 but only had a one-year warranty which has now expired. It has had a replacement Jubilee bracelet fitted in 2024 and has been unworn since.
